Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 28, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains what information REFLEXA ("we", "us", the "Service") collects when you use reflexa.netlify.app, how that information is used, and the choices you have. By using the Service, you agree to the practices described here.
This document is currently provided in English.
1. Summary
REFLEXA is a free, browser-based reaction-time tool. We do not ask you to register, and we do not run our own accounts database. Your test scores and recent history are stored only in your own browser. The main way third parties may collect data is through advertising and, if enabled, analytics — both described below.
2. Information We Collect
Information you provide
The Service does not require a name, email address, or any sign-up. We do not knowingly collect personal information that you type, because the tests only involve mouse clicks and key presses for timing.
Information stored in your browser (local storage)
To show your best scores and recent attempts, REFLEXA saves a small amount of data using your browser's
localStorage feature, specifically your best times per mode and your last few results. This data
stays on your device, is not transmitted to us, and can be cleared at any time using the "Reset Records" button
on the home page or by clearing your browser storage.
Information collected automatically
Like most websites, our hosting provider and any third-party services may automatically receive standard technical information such as your IP address, browser type, device type, referring page, and the time of your visit. This is used for security, basic operation, and aggregate measurement.
3. Cookies and Similar Technologies
A cookie is a small text file stored on your device. REFLEXA itself does not set tracking cookies for its own purposes. However, third parties such as advertising and analytics partners may set cookies or use similar technologies when you visit. You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings; doing so will not break the reaction tests, though some ads may become less relevant.
4. Advertising (Google AdSense)
We may display advertising provided by Google AdSense and its partners to keep the Service free. In connection with this:
- Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to this website and other websites.
- Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to users based on their visit to this and/or other sites on the Internet.
- You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google's Ads Settings.
- You can also opt out of a third-party vendor's use of cookies for personalized advertising by visiting www.aboutads.info.
- For more on how Google uses data when you use our partners' sites or apps, see Google's policy.
If you are located in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or another region requiring consent, ad partners may present a consent notice before personalized ads are shown.
5. Analytics
We may use privacy-respecting analytics to understand aggregate traffic (for example, how many people visit each test mode). Any such analytics are used in aggregate and are not used to identify individual visitors.
6. How We Use Information
- To operate, maintain, and improve the Service.
- To remember your scores locally on your device.
- To display advertising that helps keep the Service free.
- To protect against abuse, fraud, and security issues.
7. Children's Privacy
The Service is intended for a general audience and is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided information, please contact us so we can remove it.
8. Your Choices and Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal data, or to object to certain processing (for example under the GDPR or CCPA). Because REFLEXA does not maintain personal accounts, most data is either stored on your own device or handled by third-party advertising partners under their own policies. You can: clear local data with "Reset Records"; manage cookies in your browser; and opt out of personalized ads using the links in Section 4. To exercise other rights, contact us using the details below.
9. Data Security
The Service is served over HTTPS. While no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, we and our providers take reasonable measures to protect information.
10. Third-Party Links
Our pages may link to external sites (for example, opt-out tools or Google policies). We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites; please review their policies separately.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the Service after changes means you accept the updated policy.
